Bharath Cardiovascular Institute is the super speciality cardiac care division of Bharath Hospital, Kottayam, rendering high quality specialized cardiac care services for patients with heart ailments. At BCI  we offer the full range of cardiology services, from early disease detection to complex interventions. Our diagnostic services include, ECG, stress testing, trans thoracic and trans oesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, holter testing, HUT test, PFT, Doppler Ultrasound, angiography etc. We have a fully equipped acute coronary care unit with round the clock availability of cardilogist on site to manage and resuscitate all cardiac emergencies. The two ultramodern seamless operation theatres can simultaneously perform simple and complex open heart operations in newborn child to octogenarian , is fully equipped for endoscopic conduit harvesting, minimally invasive heart surgery , complex aneurysm surgery etc. Postoperative ICU is fitted with the most modern monitoring and resuscitatory equipments and managed by experienced staff. The physiotherapy and dietetics department provide round the clock services for the patients. We are the only such centre providing 100 percent post operative follow up and cardiac rehabilitation in all our patients.

In view of the rising incidence of heart diseases in our population, our chairman felt the need in the city of Kottayam  for a specialized heart hospital to render the high quality and super-specialised care that patients with heart diseases require. With this vision, the Bharath Cardiovascular Institute   was established.
